Module 7: The photosynthesis equation
- Photosynthesis is the process by which plants produce sugar and release oxygen as a by-product.
- With the sugar and tiny quantities of soil minerals, plants create all the parts of the plant we know: wood, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds and roots.
- In this unit we discuss with the students what plants need to produce sugar and oxygen.
- It is important that students complete this module before modules 8 and 9.
